Pietari Inkinen Honoured with Franco Abbiati Prize

Conductor Pietari Inkinen have been honoured by Italy´s National Association of Music Critics with the Franco Abbiati Prize. Maestro Inkinen conducted the winner of Best Show, Teatro Massimo of Palermo´s production of Wagner´s Das Rheingold, directed for the stage by Graham Vick.

The Franco Abbiati Prize was established by Italian music critics in 1980. Named after the renowned musicologist and critic who wrote for Corriere della Sera for forty years, the award celebrates great artists who elevate Italy´s cultural life.

This year, the ceremony will take place on Sunday, 25th May at the teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, in conjuction with the 51st International Piano Festival of Brescia and Bergamo.
