Wagner Gala in Helsinki

Pietari Inkinen will return to his native Finland on October 17 to conduct a Wagner Gala with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra at the Musiikkitalo Concert Hall.
The concert, entitled Greetings from Bayreuth, will feature excerpts from Siegfried and Götterdämmerung with Wagner stars Catherine Foster and Andreas Schager.

Pietari Inkinen is the first Finnish conductor to undertake the complete Ring cycle at the Bayreuth Festival. He will reunite with Catherine Foster (Brünnhilde) and Andreas Schager (Siegfried) in Helsinki, following their highly acclaimed performances in this Bayreuth Ring. With Catherine Foster, he also conducted Die Walküre at the 2021 Bayreuth Festival, while his collaboration with Andreas Schager has included several concerts with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie – most recently this past January at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden.
