Bruckner’s 5th Symphony in Salzburg

Pietari Inkinen and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie are back at the Großes Festspielhaus in Salzburg, this time to perform Bruckner's Symphony No. 5. The guest performance on October 17 is part of a series of three concerts at the Festspielhaus featuring Bruckner's 4th, 5th and 6th Symphonies, played by different orchestras on the occasion of the composer's 200th anniversary.

Bruch & Bruckner in Seoul and Daegu

On September 27 and 28, Pietari Inkinen conducts the KBS Symphony Orchestra in concerts featuring Bruch’s Violin Concerto No 1 and Bruckner’s Symphony No 5. Arabella Steinbacher will be the violin soloist in the Bruch Violin Concerto. The first concert will take at the Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul, the second at the Daegu Concert Hall. Schubert’s 8th and Bruckner’s “Te Deum” in Ottobeuren

On September 15, Pietari Inkinen and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie appear at the Basilika Ottobeuren in a concert featuring Bruckner's Te Deum and Schubert's Symphony No. 8. They are joined by soprano Meredith Wohlgemuth, mezzo-soprano Marie Henriette Reinhold, tenor Matthew Swensen and bass Manuel Winckhler as well as the Philharmonischer Chor München. The concert is part of the Ottobeurer Konzerte series and will be recorded for a telecast later this month.

DRP season opening concert

Dvořák, Szymanowski & Sibelius in Seoul

Pietari Inkinen is back in Seoul conducting the KBS Symphony Orchestra this month. On August 16, he leads a concert featuring Antonín Dvořák’s “Carnival Overture”, op. 92, Karol Szymanowski’s Violin Concerto No. 1, Op. 35, also starring soloist Ju-Young Baek, and Jean Sibelius’s Symphony No. 2 in D Major, Op. 43. All of these works will also be part of the KBS Symphony Orchestra's Europe tour later this month.

Concerts with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra

On August 2 and 3, Pietari Inkinen returns to Australia to conduct two concerts with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the iconic Sydney Opera House, with a compelling program including the world premiere of Liza Lim’s “Salutations to the Shells”, Sergey Prokofiev’s “Sinfonia Concertante”, where he joins forces with virtuoso cellist Alban Gerhardt, and Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4.

Mahler’s 3rd Symphony in Copenhagen

Pietari Inkinen makes his debut with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra on June 1, 2024. Replacing Michael Tilson Thomas, who has withdrawn from this concert for health reasons, Pietari conducts Mahler's Symphony No. 3 with mezzo-soprano Alice Coote. The one-off concert takes place at the Concerthuset Copenhagen.

Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 in Seoul

On May 26, Pietari Inkinen returns to Seoul and the KBS Symphony Orchestra to conduct Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3. Okka von der Damerau is the soloist of this one-off concert at the Seoul Arts Center.
