Pietari Inkinen not to extend contract with Deutsche Radio Philharmonie

Chief Conductor Pietari Inkinen will not be extending his contract with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie.

After eight seasons, he will end his tenure when his contract expires in summer 2025 in order to devote more time to international commitments.

“I am very happy about how the orchestra has developed since my first concert in 2010 and later as Chief Conductor from 2017.”, says Pietari Inkinen in a statement. “Every concert with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie is something special for me and it is always a wonderful moment when the sparks fly during our concerts – whether in front of our familiar audience in the region, in large international concert halls or during the successful South Korea tours in 2018 and 2023.”
