Ravel and Rimsky-Korsakov with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Fatma Said

Pietari Inkinen is back in Paris to conduct the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. The concert on October 6 starts with Caplet’s “Conte fantastique” for harp and strings, followed by Ravel’s “Shéhérazade” with soprano Fatma Said and “Shéhérazade” by Rimsky-Korsakov. Pietari Inkinen makes Cleveland Orchestra debut

In November, Pietari Inkinen conducts for the first time the prestigious Cleveland Orchestra. The three concerts at the Mandel Concert Hall take place on the 24th, 25th and on the 26th and also feature famed violinist Augustin Hadelich, who performs the Violin Concerto by Tchaikovsky. Also on the program is Dvořák's "Othello" Overture and his "New World" Symphony No. 8.

“Tannhäuser” at the Deutsche Oper Berlin

Following his triumph with Der Ring des Nibelungen at the Bayreuther Festspiele in summer, Pietari Inkinen returns to Richard Wagner. On November 11 and December  2, he will conduct Tannhäuser at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, making his house debut. The staging is by Kirsten Harms, the soloists include Clay Hilley, Elisabeth Teige, Tobias Kehrer, Samuel Hasselhorn, Kieran Carrel, Joel Allison, Jörg Schörner, Gerard Farreras and Lilit Davtyan.

Barber and Walton with the KBS Symphony and Gil Shaham

On October 26 and 27, Pietari Inkinen leads the KBS Symphony Orchestra and violinist Gil Shaham at the Arts Center in Seoul and Bucheon respectively. On the program is Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto and William Walton's Symphony No. 1. The October 26 concert will be broadcast live on KBS Classic FM at 8pm local time (1pm Central European Time).
