Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 in Seoul

On May 26, Pietari Inkinen returns to Seoul and the KBS Symphony Orchestra to conduct Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3. Okka von der Damerau is the soloist of this one-off concert at the Seoul Arts Center.

Okka von der Damerau and Pietari Inkinen reunite to perform together following last summer’s Der Ring des Nibelungen at the Bayreuth Festival, where Ms von der Damerau sang Erda in Das Rheingold and Siegfried as well as Erste Norn in Götterdämmerung.

This is the last concert for Pietari Inkinen with the KBS Symphony before conducting again the orchestra in August in Seoul as well as on tour in Warsaw and Brno.

Concerts with Augustin Hadelich and the DRP

On February 14 and 16, Pietari Inkinen joins forces with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie and violinist Augustin Hadelich for two performances featuring a captivating program. The first concert takes place at the Congresshalle Saarbrücken, with a live broadcast on SR 2 KulturRadio at 8 p.m. CET, followed by a second performance on Sunday at the Alte Oper Frankfurt.

Concerts with RAI Orchestra in Turin and Modena

Pietari Inkinen returns to the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai to conduct Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 7. Performances are scheduled at the Auditorium Rai “Arturo Toscanini” in Turin on February 6 and 7, and at the Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni of Modena on February 8.

“Spanish Fiesta” with the Hong Kong Philharmonic

Pietari Inkinen extends his stay in Hong Kong to conduct two additional concerts with the Hong Kong Philharmonic. The performances on January 24 and 25 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall are entitled Spanish Fiesta and will include an all Spanish-themed program: Ravel’s “Alborada del gracioso”, Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Capriccio espagnol”, and highlights from de Falla’s “La vida breve” and “El amor brujo”. The soloist in the de Falla works is the renowned Flamenco singer María Toledo.
