New Year’s Concerts with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie

Pietari Inkinen will say farewell to 2023 with a New Year’s Eve concert on December 31 in Kaiserslautern, Fruchthalle, and will welcome 2024 with a New Year’s Concert in Mainz, Rheingoldhalle, conducting the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie in the same program that includes Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67 (“Fate Symphony”), and Symphony No. 3 in E♭ major, Op. 55.

SR 2 KulturRadio will live broadcast the first event on December 31 at 17:00h local time. The concert on the 1st of January will be recorded for a transmission on SWR2 on January 5 at 13:05h local time.

Shostakovich & Prokofiev in Bologna

On February 29, Pietari Inkinen will be back in Italy, this time to conduct a concert with the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale of Bologna at the Teatro Manzoni. The program will feature Russian music: Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1 with soloist Ettore Pagano and Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5.

Concerts with DRP and Antti Siirala

Pietari Inkinen conducts two concerts with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie and pianist Antti Siirala. On the program on February 23 (Fruchthalle Kaiserslautern) and 25 (Congresshalle Saarbrücken) is Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1 as well as Sibelius’s 6th and 7th Symphony.

Concerts with I Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan

On the 1st and 3rd of February, Pietari Inkinen will conduct the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali and pianist Giuseppe Albanese in concerts at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan. On the program is Schumann’s Piano Concerto and Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Eroica". Pietari Inkinen is a frequent guest with I Pomeriggi Musicali and made his Italian conducting debut with the orchestra 20 years ago.
