Pietari Inkinen returns to Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra

Pietari Inkinen returns to Bergen for two concerts with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra at the Grieghallen on April 22 and 23, continuing his long-standing relationship with one of Scandinavia’s leading orchestras.

The first concert on April 22 is dedicated entirely to Brahms, with his Symphony No. 1 – a work that marked the composer’s long-awaited entry into the symphonic genre and remains one of the pillars of the repertoire.

On April 23, Inkinen leads a varied program opening with Wagner’s “Faust Overture”, followed by Béla Bartók’s Violin Concerto No. 2, performed by Isabelle Faust, and concluded by Brahms’s Symphony No. 1.

Pietari Inkinen has appeared regularly with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. His previous performances in Bergen have included a wide-ranging repertoire, from core symphonic works to large-scale projects, and have been met with enthusiastic audience response.
