Szymanowski, Tchaikovsky & Sibelius with DRP & Clara-Jumi Kang

Pietari Inkinen will conduct the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie in a guest performance at the Arsenal of Metz on March 7, followed by a concert with the same program on March 8 at the Congresshalle Saarbrücken. The concerts will feature Szymanowski’s Concert Overture, Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with soloist Clara-Jumi Kang, and Sibelius’s 1st Symphony.

“Spanish Fiesta” with the Hong Kong Philharmonic

Pietari Inkinen extends his stay in Hong Kong to conduct two additional concerts with the Hong Kong Philharmonic. The performances on January 24 and 25 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall are entitled Spanish Fiesta and will include an all Spanish-themed program: Ravel’s “Alborada del gracioso”, Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Capriccio espagnol”, and highlights from de Falla’s “La vida breve” and “El amor brujo”. The soloist in the de Falla works is the renowned Flamenco singer María Toledo.

Scenes from the “Ring” with Hong Kong Philharmonic

On January 17 and 18, 2025, Pietari Inkinen returns to Wagner’s Ring cycle, conducting the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in scenes from Siegfried and Götterdämmerung. These performances at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall also feature acclaimed Wagner singers Ricarda Merbeth as Brünnhilde and Stefan Vinke as Siegfried.

Series of New Year’s Concerts with DRP and Luxembourg Philharmonic

Pietari Inkinen will welcome 2025 with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, conducting the orchestra at the Fruchthalle Kaiserslautern on New Year’s Eve. The program, featuring works by Wagner, Dvořák, Lehár, Kálmán, and Strauß, will be performed again at the Rheingoldhalle in Mainz on January 1. Soprano Olga Bezsmertna and tenor Peter Sonn will be the vocal soloists for these concerts.

Beethoven with the KBS Symphony Orchestra

In December, Pietari Inkinen will conduct the KBS Symphony Orchestra  in performances of Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy and Symphony No. 9. The first concert will take place on December 21 at the Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul, followed by the Cheonan Arts Center on the 22nd and the Seoul Arts Center on Christmas Eve. The soloists will include soprano Sunmi Kim, tenor Hyunmin Park and pianist Jaehong Park in Choral Symphony, while SunYoung Seo, Sabina Kim, Yoon Jong Kook and Samuel Yoon are the vocal soloists in the 9th Symphony. With these concerts, Pietari Inkinen terminates his tenure as Music Director of the KBS Symphony Orchestra.
