“Tannhäuser” at the Deutsche Oper Berlin

Following his triumph with Der Ring des Nibelungen at the Bayreuther Festspiele in summer, Pietari Inkinen returns to Richard Wagner. On November 11 and December  2, he will conduct Tannhäuser at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, making his house debut. The staging is by Kirsten Harms, the soloists include Clay Hilley, Elisabeth Teige, Tobias Kehrer, Samuel Hasselhorn, Kieran Carrel, Joel Allison, Jörg Schörner, Gerard Farreras and Lilit Davtyan.

Concerts with DRP and Anna Vinnitskaya

Pietari Inkinen will conduct the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie and pianist Anna Vinnitskaya on three dates in Kaiserslautern, Saarbrücken and Karlsruhe, including two live radio broadcasts. On the program of the concerts at the Congresshalle Saarbrücken and the Konzerthaus Karlsruhe on November 8 & 9 is Reger’s “Variationen und Fuge über ein Thema von Beethoven”, Rachmaninoff’s “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini”, and Elgar’s “Enigma Variations”. The same program, except for the "Enigma Variations", will be performed at the SWR Studio Kaiserslautern on November 7.

Bruckner’s 5th Symphony in Salzburg

Pietari Inkinen and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie are back at the Großes Festspielhaus in Salzburg, this time to perform Bruckner's Symphony No. 5. The guest performance on October 17 is part of a series of three concerts at the Festspielhaus featuring Bruckner's 4th, 5th and 6th Symphonies, played by different orchestras on the occasion of the composer's 200th anniversary.

Bruch & Bruckner in Seoul and Daegu

On September 27 and 28, Pietari Inkinen conducts the KBS Symphony Orchestra in concerts featuring Bruch’s Violin Concerto No 1 and Bruckner’s Symphony No 5. Arabella Steinbacher will be the violin soloist in the Bruch Violin Concerto. The first concert will take at the Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul, the second at the Daegu Concert Hall. Schubert’s 8th and Bruckner’s “Te Deum” in Ottobeuren

On September 15, Pietari Inkinen and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie appear at the Basilika Ottobeuren in a concert featuring Bruckner's Te Deum and Schubert's Symphony No. 8. They are joined by soprano Meredith Wohlgemuth, mezzo-soprano Marie Henriette Reinhold, tenor Matthew Swensen and bass Manuel Winckhler as well as the Philharmonischer Chor München. The concert is part of the Ottobeurer Konzerte series and will be recorded for a telecast later this month.
