Concerts with Jean-Efflam Bavouzet and the DRP

Pietari Inkinen reunites with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie for two concerts on March 21 and 23, joined by celebrated pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet. The programme features Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 3, followed by Bruckner’s Symphony No. 3.

The first concert is a guest performance in France, at the Arsenal Metz. On March 23, the DRP returns to its home stage at the Congresshalle Saarbrücken.

Can’t attend in person? The Saarbrücken concert will be broadcast live on SR Kultur, beginning at 11:04 CET on March 23.

On April 4, 5, and 11, Pietari Inkinen conducts the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie in concerts in Saarbrücken (Großer Sendesaal), Ludwigsburg (Forum am Schlosspark) and Kaiserslautern (Fruchthalle). The program features three monumental final works: Sibelius's last large-scale orchestra work Tapiola, Rachmaninoff's final Piano Concerto No. 4 with pianist Alexei Volodin, and Tchaikovsky's last symphony, the Pathétique.

Shostakovich’s “Leningrad” Symphony in Paris

After the resounding success of his concerts with the Orchestra RAI in February, Pietari Inkinen returns to Shostakovich’s epic Symphony No. 7, “Leningrad". This time, he will lead the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in a one-night-only concert at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique in Paris on March 7, 2025. The performance begins at 8 p.m. CET and will be broadcast live on France Musique.

On February 14 and 16, Pietari Inkinen joins forces with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie and violinist Augustin Hadelich for two performances featuring a captivating program. The first concert takes place at the Congresshalle Saarbrücken, with a live broadcast on SR 2 KulturRadio at 8 p.m. CET, followed by a second performance on Sunday at the Alte Oper Frankfurt.
